Edge Analytics ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Trueline mobile application, a precision level for iPhone. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our app.

The Short Version

• Trueline requires no account and works fully offline.
• Your measurements, calibration, and settings stay on your device. We run no servers and never see them.
• The camera is used only for the AR laser level feature, processed live on your device. Nothing is recorded, stored, or transmitted.
• The free tier shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. We do not use the App Tracking Transparency framework and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
• Buying Trueline Pro removes ads; the purchase is handled by Apple and RevenueCat.

Information Stored on Your Device

The following data is created and stored locally on your iPhone only:

• Calibration offsets and precision-tolerance settings
• Saved angle presets
• App preferences (units, theme, language override)

We have no access to this data. Deleting the app removes it from your device.

Sensors and Camera

Motion Sensors

Trueline reads your iPhone's accelerometer and gyroscope to compute level and angle readings. All processing happens on your device; sensor data is never stored or transmitted.

Camera (AR Laser Level)

The Pro AR laser level feature uses your camera to project level and plumb lines onto your surroundings via Apple's ARKit. The camera feed is processed live on your device only — no photos or video are captured, stored, or sent anywhere. The camera is not accessed outside this feature.

Advertising (Free Tier)

The free version of Trueline shows banner ads served by Google AdMob. Trueline does not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework and does not access the advertising identifier (IDFA), so ads are not based on tracking you across other companies' apps and websites.

To serve ads, measure their performance, and prevent fraud, Google may collect and process:

• Device information (model, operating system, language)
• IP address and the approximate location derived from it
• Ad interaction data (impressions, taps)

Ad attribution uses Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork framework. For details on how Google processes this data, see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from ads.

Purchasing Trueline Pro removes all advertising, and with it all AdMob data processing.

Purchases

Trueline Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage your Pro entitlement. RevenueCat processes a pseudonymous app-user identifier and your purchase history for this purpose. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Analytics and Tracking

Trueline contains no analytics SDK. We do not collect usage statistics, do not use advertising identifiers, and do not track you across other apps or websites.

Data Retention

Since all app data lives on your device, retention is under your control: deleting the app deletes the data. Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat as needed to keep your Pro entitlement working (including Restore Purchases on a new device).

Your Rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EU), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because we hold no personal data about you ourselves, such requests usually concern Google (advertising) or RevenueCat (purchases) — but you can always contact us and we will help route your request.

Children's Privacy

Trueline is a utility app suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Advertising in the free tier is served without cross-app tracking.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
